Tuning & Maintenance:
Regular tuning and maintenance are essential to preserving both the tonal integrity and mechanical reliability of a pipe organ. Depending on the instrument and its environment, tuning is typically required annually, or semi-anually. Most church organs are tuned semi-annually, commonly before Christmas and Easter. Each tuning also includes a general inspection of the instrument, during which any minor issues are identified and corrected. Additional tunings may be advisable prior to major concerts, significant services such as weddings or funerals, or following substantial changes in the building’s climate; such as after renovations or heating system work.
Restoration & Rebuilding
Restoration of existing organs is an important part of preserving organ culture in North America. Moeller Pipe Organs focuses primarily on the repair and restoration of mechanical tracker organs. This work includes:

Cleaning and disassembly of the instrument

Restoration of worn or damaged wooden components

Replacement of parts that are beyond repair

Re-leathering where necessary to ensure airtight seals

Inspection of each individual pipe for physical or tonal issues

Revoicing as needed to restore the organ’s original tonal character

General tuning and regulation
Depending on the extent of the work required, larger instruments may be restored in collaboration with Alexander Schuke Orgelbau GmbH.
Cleaning & Inspection
Many problems in pipe organs are caused by the buildup of dust and dirt over time. This can make certain parts of the organ unplayable, even though they are not actually broken. For this reason, Moeller Pipe Organs offers organ cleaning services. Similar to a restoration, this process involves disassembling many components of the organ, cleaning them thoroughly, fixing any issues that are found, and making any necessary minor repairs. After reassembly, the organ is reintonated and tuned.
Intonation & Tonal Work
At times, an organ may require tonal adjustment to achieve proper balance and consistency. When a stop is too loud or too soft in relation to others, or when its timbre is uneven or undesirable, these issues can often be corrected through re-intonation.
In some cases, the temperament, pitch, or both may also need to be modified. Such changes are possible within certain physical limitations, particularly those related to pipe length and the existing tuning range of the instrument.

It is a two manual, 6 stop tracker organ ideal for small to medium size churches or small to medium concert halls. It can be used as accompaniment for services or as a continuo instrument.
