About Moeller Pipe Organs
Moeller Pipe Organs was originally founded by Master Organ Builder Burkhard Moeller in 1988 in Germany. There, Burkhard built, rebuilt, and restored organs, and worked as an organ pipe supplier for other organ building companies in the area. In 2000, the Moeller family moved to Canada, where the family business was reopened in 2003. Here, Burkhard built two new organs (one is for sale) and serviced many others on a regular basis. Burkhard Moeller passed away in 2019. In 2024, Constantin Moeller went to Germany to spend a year immersed in the trade, working for Schuke Orgelbau and learning many details, adding to and filling in the knowledge he had already been given by his father. In 2026, Constantin reopened the company and has since been servicing, repairing, tuning, and maintaining organs across Canada.
Constantin Moeller
Constantin Moeller grew up surrounded by organs, their sound, and the art of organ building. From a young age, Constantin spent time in the workshop, being given hand tools to make creative projects out of scrap wood and helping out wherever needed. Later, he would travel through southern Ontario with Burkhard to hold the keys while organs were being tuned, and to assist with necessary maintenance and repairs. Here, Constantin developed the foundations of his knowledge, which were later expanded upon and filled out in Germany from 2024–2025. During this time, Constantin was a full-time employee at Schuke Orgelbau, based in Werder (near Berlin). There, he worked on new organ construction, restoration, rebuilding, and maintenance across many projects.
He spent large amounts of time working in various places across Germany, most notably in Erfurt, Magdeburg, and Berlin, but also in numerous small villages rebuilding and restoring smaller instruments.
Constantin also took part in international projects, travelling to Finland to service and tune an organ, and manufacturing parts for a new organ in Norway.
Adding to this extensive experience, Constantin has completed his Bachelor’s degree in Flute Performance at the University of Toronto. This musical background contributes significantly to nuanced tuning and intonation, as well as musical communication and accommodation of individual clients’ needs. Constantin also studied the physical properties of sound extensively, which go hand in hand with the trade.
Today, Constantin has reopened his father’s company and is working in southern Ontario, tuning and maintaining pipe organs.
